October Events, Rounding Out the End of Art Show Season.

October Events, Rounding Out the End of Art Show Season.

It's October, which means art is in full harvest in Philly! I'll be attending and taking part in two art events this weekend to kick off my favorite month of the year. So, if you're looking to see my art in person and see my smiling face, you better get on the ball, because October marks the official end of art show season for me. I'll be locking myself in my studio for the last two months of the year, in art preparation for the holiday season. These last three events I chose to wrap up my year, are anything but basic, so put down your pumpkin spice lattes and get ready to fall into the rabbit hole of the Philly art scene. Expect to see me in full holographic glitter catsuit, complete with a crystal moon crown, like some cosmic space queen. That's right, and I'll have new, original mini art, pins, stickers, handmade necklaces, signed prints, and magical crystal pretties, that are made available first, to people attending Fused and TPRFM!

This Friday in Philadelphia I'll be at Tattooed Mom's on South Street for the Fused Underground Show. Fused Underground is organized by Jerk's Productions, a Horror film productions company right here in Philadelphia. This marks their four year anniversary, of displaying the raddest underground art in Philly. So Curators Jill Trager and Brandon Tanczak have pulled out all the stops! Everyone is invited to come in costume, as there will be a costume contest. Don't worry about being to scary, or overdressed, the Ghostbusters will be there, if any ghouls get too crazy. Tattooed Mom's is the place to party and mingle with the artists, it's no secret this is where the underground comes to play. If your looking for a night you will never forget, full of fun bohemians, artists and progressive art, look no further. No landscape or bowl of fruit paintings here. You'll feast your eyes on an eclectic mix of pop culture inspired, horror, fantasy, alternative, strange and unusual artwork by over 30 local artists.

I'll be there dressed as Lady Gaga, live painting my Starman Bowie piece and selling some space themed interstellar artwork. This is going to be a surreal night, I even heard a storm trooper from the 501st and Prince are on the guest list. For more information, check out their website or the Facebook event page.

Then Saturday night marks the second annual Nude Night Philly. This fundraiser art gala organized by Victor Perez, brings together over 40 artists, displaying tastefully done nude artwork. Tickets get you in to see the art preview day show at 1pm, light snacks and refreshments will be provided, and you can view or purchase the art before the crowds draw in and the fun begins. After 5pm food, wine and live music and performance art will fill the sculpture gardens. Profits for this fundraiser event, go towards Breast Cancer research.

Here's a sneak peek at the piece that I've created specifically for this wonderful cause. This piece will be available for sale for the first time at this event. For more details and to purchase tickets, see their event page.

Here's a 2016 recap of the first annual Nude Night Philly and get an idea of what's in store.

The weekend of October 21-22nd Trenton Punk Rock flea market is on! Don't let the title fool you, this isn't your ordinary flea market by far. TRFMP is a highly curated powerhouse, named one of the best flea markets by Huffinton Post. Only the best of the best punk rock vendors, food trucks, and artists here. This grand event, is held at the Historic Roebling Machine Shop building, tons of vinyl, sweet vintage gear, original art, horror memorabilia, handmade jewelry, vintage toys and a whole lot more! Live music proformances, coveted black swag bags, sideshow, oddities, special effects and face painting, costumed creatures and absolute radness. Faint of heart cautioned, as this event is packed full of shockingly awesome things.

I'll be there October 22nd, vending, beside Imaginarium Creative Studios. Come get some awesome rainbow magic merch. I'll have limited edition pins, stickers, original art, rainbow energy crystals, and handprinted agate evil eye talisman pendants. Get them first at these shows, before I even release them online.
