Ambrosia Dahlia

My painting "Ambrosia" weaves a mystical narrative of life, creativity, and immortality through the vibrant imagery of a dahlia and a bumblebee. The dahlia, Mexico’s national flower, symbolizes pride, inner strength, beauty, and creativity. Its history is rooted in ancient Aztec culture, where it was revered not only for its elegance but also for its spiritual and medicinal qualities.

The bumblebee, delicately poised on the dahlia, represents the creation of honey, the nectar of life, which has long been associated with preservation and immortality. In Greek mythology, ambrosia is the divine sustenance that grants the gods eternal life, capturing the essence of divine transformation and renewal.

"Ambrosia" reflects this sacred interplay, where the flower and bee together embody the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth.
