Purchase of original artwork from me includes personalized delivery service. I will arrange to personally deliver and/or hang the artwork, and you can curate how you would like to spend the day together. If you would not like this option, we can arrange delivery and shipment by other methods.

Painting Description

My painting "Amanita Nap" a woman peacefully napping in a fairy circle of vibrant Amanita mushrooms. The scene is bathed in the soft glow of twilight, with the mushrooms' red caps dotted with white spots, creating an enchanting, otherworldly atmosphere.

Fairy circles, or rings of mushrooms, have long been steeped in folklore and mystery. Legend has it that these circles are the result of fairy dances, where magical beings gather to celebrate under the moonlight. It’s said that if you fall asleep in a fairy circle, you might find yourself caught between worlds, slipping into the realm of the fae. Time can play tricks on you there; a few moments in the fairy realm might mean hours or even years in our world.

In "Amanita Nap," the girl’s serene expression hints at the blissful dreams she might be having. Who knows what adventures await her in the realm of the fae? Will she awaken in the same world she left behind, or has she unknowingly embarked on a journey of enchantment? This painting playfully invites the viewer to wonder what secrets lie within the realm of the fae, and has been considered fae propaganda and the possible work of a changeling, but those are just rumors, that I'd like to quietly dispel. As I was just innocently painting the perfect cottage core nap in the forest among the mushrooms. I painted another work that can be considered a sister painting to this called Impermanence that you should go find.
