Atropos

Atropos is a 12x12 inch original acrylic painting by Pennsylvania artist Krissy Whiski, created as part of her Curious Garden Botanical Poisons Series.

Like a small offering to spring gardens, the piece is meant to live in close spaces—bedside tables, reading corners, kitchens filled with morning light—offering a feeling of sweetness, care, and emotional warmth. It contains the plant Belladonna, a Death's Head moth and an eye. Much like the lover's eye paintings popularized in the late 1700 to early 1800's this painting shows a close up eye full of emotion. However all the plants in this series are poisonous.
