Gas Mask girl is an original acrylic painting on 16 x 20 inch canvas.
The inspiration for this painting actually came from a digital piece of artwork I admired while in Savannah, GA titled Oil by illustrator Anna Dittman. I did my own take on it, because of course, she's not wearing a gas mask in that piece of art, but the concept is similar. The concept for this piece is that society is damaging our environment. I like painting gas masks and using them as a symbolism of extremely toxic environments. Society is Toxic, and Allergic to Society were both working titles for this piece of art, I decided to go with Gas Mask Girl in the end, to leave the viewer the chance to interpret the art as they seen fit, before imposing my view upon them.
I was listening to Sail by Awol Nation, A LOT. Radioactive by Imagine Dragons, a bunch of Sckrillix, Zedd's Spectrum, and some of the Fallout soundtracks.
