Van Gogh Starry Night Portrait

I painted a homage of the absolute legend Vincent Van Gogh in his style. Vincent Van Gogh has been such a deep inspiration to me. When I first discovered his work his original paintings brung me to tears when standing in their presence. They still do, every time I have encountered one, and that to me is the absolute height of a great work of art. His letters to his brother Theo are something I’ve gone back to countless times whenever I’ve lost my way on my journey as a painter. It’s easy to fall in love and relate to Vincent VanGogh. His brush strokes create movement akin to poetry. His use of color is striking. His portraits convey genuine emotion. I wish he would have found more success in life.
